In August 2024, Gérald Charles proudly announced the new exclusive Maestro 4.0 Ducati 30° Anniversario 916, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the legendary Ducati 916 motorcycle. This remarkable collaboration represents a fusion of high-end horology and motorcycle heritage.
The Maestro 4.0 Ducati 30° Anniversario 916 is the first Gerald Charles skeleton jumping hours watch as well as the first to display time on a motorcycle wheel. At the centre of the case, a central wheel has been added as a subtle nod to the original Ducati 916-wheel rim. The golden jumping hours disk mirrors the motorcycle’s original three-spoke bronze alloy wheel, with black contours enhancing the colour contrast. The bold red and black color scheme seamlessly blends the precision of watchmaking with the passion of motorsports.

To commemorate this special release, Global Timepieces hosted the “Gérald Charles Genta: Walking in the Design Master’s Inspiration” watch appreciation event in January 2025. Esteemed guests were invited to the Peninsula store to experience the exquisite craftsmanship of the Maestro 4.0 firsthand, immersing themselves in the artistic vision of watchmaster Gérald Charles Genta.
In addition to the Maestro 4.0 Ducati 30° Anniversario 916, attendees were treated to a showcase of other exclusive Gerald Charles pieces, including the limited edition Maestro 8.0 Squelette Gem-Set Sapphires and a preview of an upcoming new model. This event provided a unique opportunity for guests to engage with these exceptional timepieces, further solidifying Gerald Charles’s reputation in the luxury watch market.Z

Maison Gerald Charles is an independent, family-owned, watch company based in Geneva, Switzerland. Founded in 2000 by the legendary watch designer Mr. Gérald Charles Genta, he gave his two first names to his latest brand to create a unique bond between himself and his creations.
Gérald Charles Genta is often referred to as “Maestro,” a title that reflects his status as both an artist and a prolific watch designer. After selling his company in 2003, he continued to serve as the chief designer until his passing in 2011.
Mr. Genta entrusted the company with important archives of his original designs from the past 11 years. To this day, many of these designs remain unpublished, serving as a long-standing source of inspiration and a treasure trove for the brand’s development.
